I personally think I did good resembling the original quilt. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to do different colors, but I loved the color combination already so I inverted the red, blue, and added the yellow. The yellow adds pop and ties it together. I think another thing that really works is the yellow is solid all around which adds the the contrast of the variety of the blues and reds. If I were to redo this project, I would section the blues, the same from top to bottom instead of the sporadic spectrum of blues. 

The biggest problems i came across was the small details in the caterpillar there was no way around this problem except powering through it and cutting every little detail out 

I also choose to have only the caterpillar and the stem of the plant in smaller pieces so the could stand out from the bold background 

I wouldn’t change anything but i would like to see how the the end result would look with smaller background pieces 

I like the add of contrast colors of the small flowers (red and green)

I focus on matching my values to the original image which was challenging

Something i would like to do with this project is to do every color seeing how it changes the mood of the painting 

When i look at this painting i thing of the creature swamp thing because the dark green and mysterious mood 

The process I enjoyed the most was mixing and painting the darkest green
