         <title>End of WWI Treaty of Versailles- 6/28/1919</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On June 28th, 1919 Germany and the Allied nations (as well as Britain, France, Russia, and Italy) signed the Treaty or Versailles, ending the war.  As WWI was occurring the Treaty of Versailles caused peace between Germany and the Allied powers and ended the state of war. Without this event the occurrence of WWI would still be happening past June of 1919 as the treaty saved many soldiers  lives.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Great Depression was an economic decline that lasted 43 months in the early 1930's. This event occurred due to the stock market crash in 1929. During this time the unemployment rate reached 25%.  By the end of WWII the effects of the great depression were restored. </div>]]></description>

This organized by Germany's Nazi party led by Adolf Hitler. 2/3 (approximately 6 million) of the European Jews where murdered. They had to experience forced labor in concentration camps. Most died from gas chambers and malnutrition.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On April 30th, 1945, Adolf Hitler committed suicide in his bunker at his headquarters in Berlin. He died by  swallowing a cyanide capsule as well as shooting himself in the head. Hitler's death led some with joy and others with displeasure. Did  Hitler kill himself because he was afraid someone else would do it first? We will never know. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>August 6th of 1945 during WWII the United States sent a B-29 bomber to drop the world's first ever atomic bomb over the Japanese city Hiroshima. The bomb took out 90% of the whole city killing over 80,000 people. On August 9th another B-29 bomber was sent to another Japan city Nagasaki. This time killing around 40,000 individuals. On August 15th, 1945, Japan's Emperor addressed to fully surrender in WWII. Schools, churches, and homes simply vanished. Transportation was impossible. But to this day both Hiroshima and Nagasaki have sculptures, museums, parks, and peace ceremonies so no one forgets.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>James Watson and Francis Crick are best known for discovering DNA in 1953. But some argue if Watson and Crick actually discovered DNA. As the Swiss chemist Friedrich Miescher first identified DNA in the 1860s.  However we do know Watson and Crick did indeed discover the double helix, twisted ladder structure of DNA.</div>]]></description>

The Soviet Union had launched it into a orbit where it had reached a orbit height of 359mi and a maximum speed of 18,020mph. It was orbiting for 3 weeks until it's battery died. Then it was there 2 months until it had fallen back into the atmosphere. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In October 1962 the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred in which were Soviet Union and US leaders were associated with the 13 day military and political standoff. The Soviet Union had secretly began to install nuclear-armed missiles into Cuba to launch attacks on US cities. It was a threat due to it's distance of 90mi to US shores. It resolved by Soviet agreeing to remove the missiles in promise for US to respect Cuba's self government. </div>]]></description>

They collected pieces of moon dirt and rocks and conducted experiments. This event was assisted by the mission Apollo 11. </div>]]></description>

The president of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev decision was to allow multi-party elections and create presidency. But this later fell into a communist control which lead to the Soviet Union to collapse.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At 8:56am on November 11th in 2001 a hijacked plane crashed into the north World Trade Center. 17 minutes later United flight 175 crashed into the south World Trade Center. Following these crashes a 3rd flight crashed into the Pentagon and the 4th crashing into a field in Pennsylvania. 9/11 has forever impacted the way of flying and most importantly airport security.   </div>]]></description>

Afghan leaders would resist to share where Osama Bin Laden (leader of 9/11 attacks). When the Afghan leaders refused the United States started bombing Afghanistan.
