After he got fired to Apple he went to Pixar company and met his wife. Also after he got surgery of the cancer, he lived more life then not having surgery. When I saw this video I thought that in life we will have lots of dangerous and hard time that we have to carry out. It will be sad, have no hope in life, and don't want to do it again. However, even we are sad about that the company or your job will never know you are sad or not. It made me wonder about what I really love to do because I have to find a career that resembles that thing I love. Steve Jobs said it himself, "Work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." Not many people have the ability to really make people think about what they and make it personal. Steve jobs did that and I found it interesting. He made people at the time of his speech make personal thoughts about their lives and people 14 years later think the same questions. Steve talked about when he was fired from Apple. I find it amazing the amount of courage he had to go out and create two more companies because he loved what he did so much. He found his purpose and didn't want to give it up so much he risked everything again to flow what he loved to do. What Steve said was very similar to what we listen to yesterday in class. He mentioned how the typeface wouldn't be the same if he didn't take that class. One of his messages about how he found something he loved and he shouldn't give it up. Even though he got fired by Apple, he continued doing what he loved and ended up making one of the most successful animation companies and ended up back at Apple. This is similar to yesterday's TedTalk, when the speaker told the audience that doing a job with no passion makes it hard for you to like your job at all. And even though Steve Jobs went through all those hardships, those hardships turned into something that made him successful. For example, if he was never fired from Apple, he could have never made Pixar, which is the most famous animated movie company in the world.
My favorite part of the video was when Steve Jobs talked about how a bad thing (such as getting fired from apple) led to even greater outcomes (like starting Pixar.) He still stayed in the college and became a drop-in and he went to a class that he was interested in, Calligraphy class. From the video, we watched two days ago and the video yesterday they both said that you should do what you love and not be forced to do something you don't. Steve Jobs said, "You have to trust something, your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. Believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart." He is saying like the other video that you should do what you want to do with your life and not to do what other people wanted to do. The experiences he faced during his life were one of a kind and the way he portrayed them were very fascinating. I thought that Steve Jobs was a very good and inspirational speaker and he engaged his audience. I also think that Steve jobs got really lucky that apple bought NeXT because without that he would not be able to go back to apple and continue his legacy there. Also, he redeemed himself, because in the ted talk he said that, he thought of himself as a "public failure" and that "he let other people down". In addition, I thought Steve Jobs's messages were more meaningful and useful than the ted talk speaker and that his stories were more meaningful. In the video we watched yesterday, the TED talk speaker demonstrates how even people with low salaries or jobs that require loads of work enjoy what they do because they know it makes a difference. Steve Jobs got fired from Apple and later built two new successful companies (NeXT and Pixar) that he was very Passionate about. These two examples both explain the idea that you work almost your whole life, so if you're passionate about what you do, your life will be more fullfilled. Since he dropped out of college, he started to pursue topography and applied this to the Macintosh computer. If he never pursued what he enjoyed, then this feature would not be present in computers today. As well, in both videos they say how you can only be great at your job if you enjoy it. He learned more from this, and being fired worked to his advantage. Due to the fact that he dropped out of college, and took a calligraphy class, he was able to create multiple fonts for his new creation, the Macintosh. He liked how he showed that there is always a positive out of a negative situation. He explained that in order to connect the dots, you have to look backwards at your mistakes and you will see how to fix them in the future. Due to the fact that he still loved what he did, he continued to pursue his passion by making more companies including: NeXT and Pixar. I thought it was great how he was pursuing the career that he enjoyed, and created Pixar, which became very successful, instead of stopping altogether. The message that was portrayed in this video was also shown in the TED Talk video, "What Makes You Come Alive?" They both explained how finding your passion and loving what you do is crucial to living a successful life.

I think that is exactly what Steve Jobs did which really helped him in his favor.
