Just a thought! Since we will be meeting 2x a month should we try to split it up to have 1 meeting per month be a big group discussion/brain dump with our ideas and questions about our goals..and then have the next meeting that month be a working meeting where we spend some of the time working in groups towards a goal, and maybe the last few minutes sharing it out to the bigger group? Maybe have a different goal for each group (like one group can try to brainstorm some ideas for climate/culture for staff while the other group works on tier 1 interventions to support students)

TCIS has an amazing lesson/activity that we use on one of the first days of the 4 day training that dives into "what we are doing well" and "what we can do better" and from there generates some conversation/ideas for behavior support techniques. This may be a great lesson for our committee and eventually the building to have a voice and understanding in the direction and focus of the committee. As we get into it, there are Behavior Support Techniques and language that all staff can learn as tier 1 interventions.

Similar to the spartitude awards coupons.
- small obtainable goals for the quarter with a small prize, kids liked food/ small rewards for this. We can make rewards based around positive behaviors and desired outcomes, 1 coupon per class passed for the quarter, perfect attendance is 3, miss one day 2, 2 days is 1 coupon etc. If a student earns X by the end of the quarter they get a pass to go to a pizza party or something like that- or a choice of passes they get to pick 1.

There is also a school wide goal, if the whole school gets (X) by the end of the quarter or year, then the whole school gets a big reward.( scavenger hunt and movies were popular)

So one suggestion was that we have food trucks, I think it has potential, we could use it in a lot of places (behavior ticket reward, end of year event, parent night, open house etc).

I'm not sure if there might be an issue with the lunch policy but since we allow kids on field trips to buy food, I think we can figure it out.
