Adams does not take criticism well, and he gets too emotional. This may get in the way of some decisions he'll make, as they'll be biased and personal. Adams isn't a completely terrible choice, but I question his ability to be a strong leader and make good decisions for the people.

Each act helps detail Adams reason for passing them even though they were considered unconstitutional. The naturalization act increased the residency requirement for US citizenship. This required the 'aliens' to state their intent for citizenship five years before they could be granted citizenship. This made enemy nations ineligible for Naturalization. The sedition acts stoped any,so called, malicious writings against the government. This was passed in order to limit the power of the opposition. Overall these acts were passed to help America if a war was waged against France, making it harder for France to send spies into America.
