They chip slowly away at rocks and eventually break them. When water pours down, it takes a little bit of the rock with it. If wind is blowing on a mountain, it always blows a little amount of particles away. If you freeze a water bottle with water in it, the water bottle with break because the water freezes and becomes ice. Then, the ice expands and splits the bottle open. Every day, the rock changes shape because of erosion. Erosion is crumbling mountains, flattening hills, deepening canyons, widening valleys because erosion never stops.
