         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. How do SAMR and TIM differ? Explain.<br><br>SAMR membahagikan kepada 2 pendekatan: garis atas dan garis bawah. Untuk garis bawah dikenali sebagai Penambahbaikan (Enhancement) terdiri daripada ‘Subsititution’ dan ‘Augmentation’, manakala garis atas dikenali sebagai transformasi (transformation) terdiri daripada ‘modification’ dan ‘redefinition’. Dalam pendekatan garis atas, boleh dirumuskan bahawa guru menilai pelajar dengan cara menganalisis, menilai dan mencipta dan secara tidak langsung dalam garis atas telah bergabung kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi. SAMR ini boleh dikatakan bahawa dapat membantu guru dalam merancang bila, bagaimana dan cara menyatupadukan teknologi dalam integrasi kelas untuk PdPc seharian</div><div> </div><div>TIM pula merupakan kesinambungan penggunaan teknologi berdasarkan 5 atribut: <em>active, collaborative, constructive, authentic dan goal-directed</em> yang merentasi 5 tahap <em>: entry, adoption, adaptation, infusion dan transformation</em>. Berdasarkan kepada 5 tahap dan 5 atribut yang digunakan, dapati di tahap ‘Entry’ lebih fokus kepada guru dan dorongan daripada guru, manakala di bahagian transformasi lebih berpusatkan pelajar.  TIM juga  berubah dari ‘instructional’ ke kandungan yang mana model ini membimbing guru dalam merancang supaya pemilihan teknologi yang sesuai dengan PdPc. Secara rumusnya, TIM ini lebih fokus kepada pedagogi dan pendekatan pedagogi dalam mengintegrasikan tenologi.<br><br>2- How do ACOT, Wellivers Instructional Transformation Theory, Learning Adoption/Trajectory differ from SAMR and TIM?<br>Explain. <br><br>Kesemua model ini menggunakan atau mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam PdPc harian. Terdapat 5 fasa bagi setiap model yang dikaji, manakala SAMR hanya mempunyai 4 fasa.          <description><![CDATA[<div>How do SAMR and TIM differ?<br><br>First, we have to take a deeper look at the design of these models. SAMR model is the abbreviation of Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition. These are the four types of technology integration in instructional practices. These four levels can further categorized into two level which are enhancement and transformation. technological use to substitute and augment traditional or existing technologies in classroom falls in to enhancement level. whereas, use of technology to modify or redefine falls into transformation level. enhancement level can be considered as entry level and transformation level can be deemed as advanced level of technological integration in T&amp;L.  <br>Example:<br>#Substitution = Technology is used to substitute the existing approach, for example typing the essay instead of writing it. Core task is same.<br>#Augmentation = Core task is still the same, but some features of technology will be used. Such as using different font styles to show the heading, paragraphing and so on.<br>#Modification = More advanced technological features are incorporated such as real time feedback such that other peers can collaborate and contribute. <br>#Redefining = as the name suggests, the core task is conveyed in a totally different way. such as producing a short clip based on the title instead if writing an essay. <br><br>TIM is the abbreviation of Technology Integration Matrix which discusses about how technology is integrated based on 5 attributes which spans over 5 levels. 5 attributes are active, collaborative, constructive, authentic and goal oriented and 5 levels are entry, adoption, adaptation, infusion and transformation. TIM talks mainly about pedagogical aspect of a lesson and how technology is used in a way that can change the ownership of learning from teachers to students. TIM model also explains on how the technology is utilized for conventional use at the entry stage to a complex use when moving towards transformation level. At the entry level, a lesson tend to lean towards the technology i.e: explaining about the ways to use the devices and so on and moves towards content in transformation level. At this stage technology will become a transparent component of a lesson. <br><br><strong>Differences<br></strong>1<strong>.</strong> SAMR model emphasizes level of technological integration without giving much importance to pedagogical practices whereas TIM model relies heavily on pedagogical part of technological integration.<br>2. SAMR did not discuss about hierarchy of technological integration on each level. TIM attempted to explain that each attributes have 5 different level of integration which starts from entry and moves toward transformation. <br>3. SAMR discusses about how teachers attempt to use the technology in classroom setting whereas TIM talks extensively on how these technology integration will intrigue different aspect of students' learning in the form of collaboration, goal orientation and so on.  <br><br><strong>2. How do ACOT, Wellievers instructional transformation model and learning adoption/trajectory differ from SAMR and TIM?</strong><br><br>ACOT, Wellievers' instructional transformation model and learning adoption/trajectroy models are three closely related models. These model are based upon how a new technology that have been introduced are being adopted and utilized by the educators. All three models talks about the levels of familiarization of the technology among teachers. <br><br>SAMR and TIM models revolves about how the technology can be incorporated in teaching and learning practices. We as teachers attempt to incorporate technology in our instructional practices. The outcome of incorporation of technology tend to vary. Why this happens? This is what TIM and SAMR attempted to answer. This is because there are different level of technological utilization. We can use the technology to enhance our T&amp;L but the outcome will not be outstanding but when we utilize it to transform the instruction, we can expect an outstanding and impactful outcome among students.  </div>]]></description>

TIM menggabungkan lima ciri saling bergantung pada persekitaran pembelajaran yang bermakna: positif, kolaboratif, konstruktif, nyata dan berorientasikan matlamat. Ciri-ciri ini berkaitan dengan lima tahap integrasi teknologi: kemasukan, penerimaan, penyesuaian, infusi, dan penukaran. Ringkasnya, persekitaran pembelajaran yang bermakna dan lima ciri lima tahap integrasi teknologi mencipta matriks 25 sel.<br>SAMR model menyediakan cara untuk memahami bagaimana teknologi komputer mempengaruhi pengajaran dan pembelajaran. TIM menggabungkan lima ciri saling bergantung pada persekitaran pembelajaran yang bermakna: positif, kolaboratif, konstruktif, nyata dan berorientasikan matlamat. Ciri-ciri ini berkaitan dengan lima tahap integrasi teknologi: kemasukan, penerimaan, penyesuaian, infusi, dan penukaran. Ringkasnya, persekitaran pembelajaran yang bermakna dan lima ciri lima tahap integrasi teknologi mencipta matriks 25 sel.<br><br><strong>Differences<br></strong>1<strong>.</strong> SAMR model emphasizes level of technological integration without giving much importance to pedagogical practices whereas TIM model relies heavily on pedagogical part of technological integration.<br>2. SAMR did not discuss about hierarchy of technological integration on each level. TIM attempted to explain that each attributes have 5 different level of integration which starts from entry and moves toward transformation. <br>3. SAMR discusses about how teachers attempt to use the technology in classroom setting whereas TIM talks extensively on how these technology integration will intrigue different aspect of students' learning in the form of collaboration, goal orientation and so on.  <mark><br><br>2. How do ACOT, Wellivers Instructional Transformation Theory, Learning Adoption/Trajectory differ from SAMR and TIM?<br></mark><br>ACOT, Wellivers and Trajectory are concern about the importance of using technology into teaching and learning process in the classrooms. Technology is use as a teaching and learning tools into the current curriculum. Besides using technology, the teachers also have to ensure that learning outcomes and students performance achieve/improve. While SAMR focus on pedagogical approach and TIM provides a framework of using technology to enhance learning.<mark><br><br><br></mark><br></div>]]></description>
