Nick and Fetcher the rats help the hens get supplies to figure out what they were missing. Then, they start taking breaks and then they figure out what they were missing having fun with flying. Then, Mrs. Tweedy gets a new pie machine and Mr. Tweedy catures Ginger to be the first test subject for the machine to turn into a pie. Ginger completely loses hope for survival and believes the only way out of the farm is being baked into a pie. Ginger then regains hope when she finds out Fowler was a pilot in the Royal Air Force and they build a "crate" or plane to escape. In reality, Fowler was only the mascot for the R. A. F. and never actually flew any planes before and has to wing this time. Mr. Tweedy folded the ramp the chickens need to take flight and Ginger has to go put it back up.  Then, Mrs. Tweedy comes to stop Ginger with her axe and Rocky comes back just in time on his bike to save Ginger. The plane takes off and Rocky and Ginger barely get on a string of lights to make it on. When everyone thinks the are home free, Mrs. Tweedy gets on the light string aswell and starts climbing up into the plane and Ginger gets scissors to try to cut her down but Rocky has to lower her to the string to be able to stop her. Then, the plane almost hits a billboard and Rocky drops her onto the string, putting Ginger face to face with Mrs. Tweedy. Just as Mrs. Tweedy was about to take a swing at Ginger with her axe, Rocky launches Nick and Fetcher's eggs at Mrs. Tweedy. Unfortunately, Mrs. Tweedy knocks the scissors out of Ginger's hands and when Mrs. Tweedy takes a swing at Ginger's head,  it looks like Ginger was no more.
