https://padlet.com/ksedell/rqpmbocwi9k0 en-us 2018-04-21 13:42:23 UTC 2026-02-05 04:07:40 UTC hello@padlet.com ksedell https://padlet.com/ksedell/rqpmbocwi9k0/wish/254051956 Our school is the smallest of all the Norton Public Schools, yet the needs are significant.  The number of students coming into our Kindergarten program that suffer from social/emotional trauma are eerily rising each year.  Kindergarten for some of these children is their "safe haven".  There is no stability at home and/or lack of discipline.  In our grade level, there are 18-20 students this year, with no para-professionals.  Although the class sizes are smaller than years past, the students have greater needs.  It is extremely difficult for a teacher alone to diffuse emotional outburts or disciplinary problems without an extra set of hands.  Many classroom teachers are NOT restraint trained and at our school, it is hard to find help when needed.  We have a part-time school adjustment counselor and a principal who is constantly dealing with these issues alone for the most part in all grade levels.  ]]> 2018-04-21 13:56:03 UTC https://padlet.com/ksedell/rqpmbocwi9k0/wish/254051956
