There lives where changed by the fighting the war and trying to survive. With no plastic surgeons you couldent show your whole face in public without someone getting scared and having to wear a mask to cover your face when you got hurt. The nurses and soldiers are trumatized by war nurses see all the blood guts and all sorts of othere stuff unlike soldiers who see artillery striking next to them or seeing there brothers killed in action next to the all the noises and musard gas really traumatized you cant unsee what you see in war screaming saying goodbye forever not seeing your family again PTSD sucidal thoughts due to traumatization.

I feel like the lives of people have changed forever. The war effected them both Psychically and Mentally. It scarred them for life. Nurses and Doctors both are also scarred because they had to see it all. It is very sad that soldiers had to experience seeing other be blown up or having to shoot others or seeing other be shot. They also experienced having their heads blown off or getting their eye sight taken away and they may die. Its really sad and scary but its also nice that so many soldiers decided to risk their lives to set America free.

The doctors and nurses must have had the images of what the war did to the soldiers that they treated ingrained in their head forever. Lots of soldiers developed PTSD from the battle field for the rest of there lives.
