I am a 3rd Grade teacher at Rissler Elementary in Trenton, MO.  I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in December of 2016 with my BS in Elementary Education and a Concentration in Psychology. I began teaching the following January here in Trenton. It's been a fun, interesting experience and I am already looking forward to see what next school year brings!
 
I began working on getting my Masters in STEM education this summer and am excited to learn more through this class!

I was just in my 16th wedding as a maid of honor for my best friend. It's a fun but expensive hobby of mine. I'm working my way up to 27 dresses!

I use the Seesaw app to communicate with my students and their families about things going on in the classroom and work students are doing. This past school year parents seemed to really like that form of communication. I also use the online portion of our math curriculum on the SmartBoard to teach math. Our 3rd and 4th grade classrooms have 12 desktop computers so I try to use them with lessons as much as I can. My goal next school year to incorporate more technology into my instruction.

Personally, I use social media all of the time. I live over two hours from any of my family and most of my friends so I'm thankful to be able to follow their lives and stay in the know through technology. I think technology is incredibly important and look forward to learning more about it.
