I am king James I and I am the first puritan king who took over after the Great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first king of England to translate the Bible into English, calling it the king James bible. I was honored as the name sake for the new English settlement in our newly acquired land of America. We named it Jamestown.

I emerged as a military leader during the English Civil war, I was a puritan Army General Because of my success on the Civil War, I was crowned the Lord protector where I ruled England Until 1658. I am known for his part in the execution of James I and for ruling England as a military dictator. I let the conquest of Ireland and Scotland and I attempted to name England as the dominant European power.

Charles II (1658-1685)

I had a rough time during the Cromwell rule… I was exiled to France by Cromwell because of the threat he posed to the throne as Charles I’s son

Once Oliver Cromwell died, I returned to England and restored the Monarchy

This Time period was known as the Restoration

I had the smallest serving out of all of the kings, I faced a lot of challenges because of my religion. I had 12 “illegitimate” children so I would be the last Roman Catholic King of England, Ireland, and Scotland. .Because of the problems with religion and the Glorious Revolution of England began I was overthrown peacefully.

William and Mary (1688-1702)

Mary is the daughter of James II but she was raised prostate unlike my father. When parliament completed the overthrow of King James II they asked me & Mary to rule jointly as a Protestant alternative.

Too keep the royalty blood as royal as we can get we married as I am her first cousin.
