However our muscles can absorb only a certain amount of protein, the rest is used for other functions or pee'd out. <br>Have a look at the abstract of the study in this link and get an idea of how much protein you should be eating per meal for maximal muscle growth (assuming you consume 4 meals a day). Note it down here.<br><br>- Muscle protein synthesis is optimised in young adults with an intake of 20 - 25g of protein<br><br>- It states that one should consume  0.4 g/kg/meal of protein across a minimum of 4 meals to reach a minimum of 1.6 g/kg/day. <br><br>- The upper daily intake of 2.2 g/kg/day reported in this study across the same 4 meals would result in a maximum of 0.55 g/kg/meal of protein.</div>]]></description>
