We landed on what I call a salamander boat and quite frankly it sort of was a amphibious machine, just in the fact that it can land so efficiently surprises me. As I saw them raise the flag on Suribachi it symbolized to me the end of the war. I was a jew so it endicated revenge on the cold blooded murderers  who killed most of my kind after inviting them in not long before. At that very point I knew we had revenge against the murderers. I was happy that I was able to help. I was just excited I wasn't killed by bomb fragments. Although our reinforcements were destroyed some of us got out alive. Our movement was slow cause of high casualties mentioned in last journal entry. After the last battle I am doughting if we can win this battle. I sure hope so just for more revenge on those murderers.

The japs tried to break headquarters but they did almost nothing. A few days later we got garrison support and we were pretty well protected near base.
