         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Virginia Gold apple become ripe in October in Virginia where it is grown. Most apples when harvested on large farms are sent to be processed and made in to applesauce and other apple products. Most apple such as the Virginia Gold can be stored in a refrigerator if bough in a small quantity. If bought in a large quantity they can be stored in a cellar or some cool and damp place. To create an apple such as the Virginia Gold you have to first find two apples that have the desired traits you would like for your apple then you have to genetically combine the seeds. The process generally takes a very long time as the apple tree has to grow to be old enough to grow apples.</div>]]></description>
