Avalia made a good point by saying that the pearl might have changed who Kino was, rather than he changed himself.

I liked how Avalia challenged the previous discussion on how the main character was greedy. However she asked if the main character was filled with greed from the beginning or did the pearl reveal the main characters true colors.

You added an excellent theory to the topic, saying that all of the buyers were one person trying to scam Kino. It was not a dumb theory, and you explained it with logical reasoning and evidence from the book that the buyers are all collaborating.

I loved how Levi pointed out how the pearl buyers may have staged the bidding process. The buyers did this by bidding just lower than the main character to make him want to bid more money. Rather than the main character betting with confidence and the buyers getting less profit from the sale.

I liked how Lana was very transparent when giving her opinion on if she liked or disliked the book. She also stated that she would read the book but she would not go out of her way to do so which I found to be a very honest answer.
