Allison Friedman's research consisted of video calling experts, reading, and watching countless videos/articles. This research was important because otherwise, she wouldn't know any information as she hasn't heard anything about oak island before she got told it. Another reason it was important was because she ended up with countless ideas and countless stories about what to write, and different sections to add for the story.
