So, socialism is where the state controls the means of production which include land and natural resources. Later, communism would be formed built off of this base. This would be where   everyone is absolutely equal and the state wouldn't even have to exist any more. We still do not have pure communism and so there are 3 types of socialism. The first is Chinese Socialism which has a high dose of capitalism but there is no democracy. Second, there is Democratic Socialism which has democracy and private property but has a high level of taxation due to a large amount of distribution. Last, there is socialism as a component of capitalism which is leaned more towards capitalism but has some state funded programs. Lao like other countries is changing and is heavily influenced by democratic ideology, both via tourism and trade. This war was started because the North wanted the country to be a full communist country. After this war in 1976 Vietnam became a communist country. This country is technically still a communist country but it has moved a bit towards a marketed society and saw that some of it's socialist values were disrupted by the incoming capitalism. Even though it is moving to capitalism the human rights and freedom of speech and press is heavily watched and limited.

One of his ideas was that struggle is not created by classes or ranks but that ranks are created from struggle. He believed that if there was no struggle then the idea of classes wouldn't be formed. So basically without struggle there will be no classes and people will live in this perfect utopia. In Britain in the time where he lived there were two main classes the capitalists which were making all of the money and the workers who just got all of the labor. So, there was a conflict here because the capitalists wanted the labor for the cheapest price while the workers wanted to get paid the highest possible for their labor. Two theories undergo this idea. The first one being is that work gives life meaning and that humans are social animals by nature. He believed that we collaborate well together and are more efficient when resources are shared between all. Marx believed that capitalism abolished this society in which resources are shared to everyone based on their needs and that people should work together but replaced it with trouble and conflict. The north was Russia dominated while the south was American occupied. North Korea was not originally communist but later became it when it declared independence with Kim Il-Sung in power. Getting information on this country is not easy as the government has full control over the media. As most of the world sees North Korea as a communist country the Kim family which is still in rule and the country does not. The Kim family follows their own type of ruling called Juche which means self reliance. Juche was first introduced to the country in the middle of the 1950s and brought with it the Korean nationalism as a core value inside the nation's leadership strategies. North Korea's human rights are very questionable and under strict control. The Human Rights Watch estimates that about 150,000 and 200,000 North Koreans live in prison camps. Also, only government military officers are allowed to own motor vehicles like cars and motorcycles. Believe it or not China is still communist and has been ever since that date! Even though it is still communist there have been some economic reforms put in place over the last several years. Some communist principles are not being used any more like in the 2004 constitution they acknowledged private property. If China is changing than what makes it really a communist country? It is still communist because the Chinese government controls major parts of the society and economy. Nearly all of the Chinese banks the government owns which means that they get to chose who to lend the money too. Cuba because a fully communist country in 1961 which followed a revolution which lead to a government take over by Fidel Castro and his associates. The government in Cuba has a large amount of control over economic enterprises.
