Jonah was to afraid to go to Nineveh so he avoided it and disobey God, but on the other hand God could see every move that Jonah was doing. Jonah jumped on a ship to Tarshish and didn't do the task that God set for him. A massive storm came down onto the ship and this was caused by Jonah because he disobey God, so Jonah convinced the people on the ship to thrown him off as God wanted and then the storm would go away. They did exactly what Jonah said and the storm disappeared. After he was thrown off the ship a whale came and swallowed him, he was stuck inside the whale for 3 days. On the third day the whale opened his mouth and Jonah was washed into the shore. He then learnt his lesson and praised to God. God set him the same task and this time he accomplished it.
