Scientists search rocks to look for fossils that represent old animals that used to live long ago. They test the fossils to see what it can match to. Doing this could help them get an image of how they used to look back then. This helps them gather info on how the old species used to be. They can also look at the bones and see how they were back then. It also shows the shifts in the bones after a long period of time.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Over time scientists have dug up and discovered bones of many different extinct animals which allows them to collect DNA and things that are found in those animals bones. Scientists dig down and normally the further they go the older the species would be, with this knowledge scientists found the semi newer bones near the top and after digging deeper they found the older bones of the same or similar species which helps them know how the animal evolved and changed over time.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

When they find the fossils it can help them to try and figure out what kind of animal that was. They can also dig to look for types of bones that extinct animals used to have. For example, Paleontologists dig to look for dinosaur bones and that proves that dinosaurs were real and alive a long long time ago.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Scientists know about organisms that lived long ago because of the remnants that they left behind. Some evidence that scientists have gathered are the fossils of horses. 6- 12 million years ago we know that horses used to be shorter. We also know that 55-45 million years ago horses were even shorter, and they had 4 toes. As the time increased the horses grew taller and got less toes. As more and more time passes by the horses may even grow taller.</p>]]></description>

One of the main things discovered is how species form and change through time. Through research and exploration, fossils have been discovered through different layers in land. Every layer represents the different age and time that the species existed in. The scientists use this information to help them determine the age and status of different species. They look at the condition of the species and where it was found. This helps them form an idea of characteristics, traits, abilities, looks, etc. of what they found.  They use this research to help illustrate and determine the changes of species and how they were formed over time. </p>]]></description>

Evidence for large-scale evolution macroelution comes from anatomy and embryology, molecular biology, bio geography, and fossils. Similar anatomy found in different species may be homologous shared due to ancestry or analogous shared due to similar selective pressures.</p>]]></description>

As the bones and leftover preserved animal parts such as feathers are examined it can give us a lot of the data on the animal. But have you ever wondered how they know about organisms that lived before we were even born?  Scientists are able to figure this out using evidence through studying fossils, limb structure, and embryos.  By digging up different fossils, scientists are able to make new discoveries through the comparison of their bones to the animals today.  The depth of where they found the fossils also allows them to determine what time period these animals were alive.  Additionally, through the analysis of animal limbs and embryos, scientists are able to find the correlation of their genealogy.</p>]]></description>
