I believe that the correlation between people and water usgae per house is spuriuos because yes the amount of people has an effect on how much water is used but there are also other factors that play a roll in it, such as how big the propery is or if they have a pool etc. We see this throught or scatterplots LSRL beuase yes they are increasing graphs they arent totally increasing meaning there must be outside factors playing a roll in water usage.
