It was just a word I didn't really know the true meaning of, and sometimes I still don't know the true meaning of beauty. I don't think there is a true meaning for the word. When I was younger and even to this day, people call me beautiful and sometime I can see what they’re talking about but other time, I don't. I don't see what other people see when they look at me. But today, reading the forward part of the Bluest Eye, I’m kind of starting to see what beauty is in it of itself. I understand that beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes, and different colors. That no matter what you look like, even if a lot of people doesnt think you’re beautiful someone besides yourself thinks you are. And what they think about you doesn't matter. As long as you think you are beautiful, gorgeous, that is all that matters. Love yourself from the inside out. Beauty is being the skin color you are, the size you and the uniqueness you are within yourself.
