Poems are economical, where they keep poems concise and to the point. They also had strong, genuine emotions put into the lyrics. I agree with Goerge on his points about poetry because the emotions and figurative language conveyed in poetry is its own art form and it could translate to other mediums. There probably isn't a limit to the poems people could make, which is one of the beauties of poetry. I personally hate writing poems but I like to read them. I have trouble coming up with things to write poems about, and it's just not enjoyable to me.

The poetry George shared had a lot of emotion in it, as well as figurative language so you can better visualize what the poet felt.
I agree with how it connects to humans because emotions are a very powerful tool to use to connect to someone and the meter can add another element to it, setting the rhythm and possibly adding on to the tone.
I feel like I like poetry within song form, but I am less found of the typical literary format of plain text and I would say literary poetry more often uses more abstract figurative language, as a song more often uses more concrete things. I am not denying that literary poetry can also have concrete figurative language, I am just making a distinction in the frequency in which it appears.

There was a lot of emotion in the poems. They had numerous examples of figurative language and they describe every little detail. They will make someone feel what you want them to feel if you write the poem right. I agree with his reasons for why poetry is important to people and how to connect them through emotion. They make humans feel more emotions. Poetry just makes you feel things that can't be expressed in a simple way. I LOVE POETRY! I write poetry actually. I write poetry a lot and usually they are short and don't follow many rules, but they give the meaning I want them to give. I like reading some poetry. I mean, I LOVE MUSIC! Music is my life.

The poems include use of figurative language which are used to convey a lot of emotion with each poem. The poems are meant to have an impact on you. I agree with what George says about how poetry is important to humans. It can be used to make you feel certain feelings which can be used to help inspire people or even inform people. I personally only enjoy reading poetry since I don't consider myself a good writer. One form of poetry I love is music because music is something very powerful that can give emotion.

I do agree that poetry is important to humans and how we connect. Poetry is one of those things that where people listen and feel like they are understood. Kind of like with music as well. I do like poetry. I like that it is real, and a lot of the time I can relate to it. I like seeing where the writing is coming from. Its nice that they are sharing something so vulnerable with me and the rest of the audience.

The emotion and utilization of words in the poem makes it easier to relate to. The figurative language that was used throughout the poem made it visual and was another great quality.

One of the qualities of poetry George describes is economical. In other words, each word is in the poem for a reason. Another quality of poetry George describes is figurative language. Figurative language is use throughout the poem just enough where there isn't too much or too little. I agree that poetry is an important to humans because it describes the world in words that we cannot ourselves. Poetry gives the audience the picture emotion the poet was feeling while writing the poem. Personally, I do not like poetry at all. I don't like writing or reading it because I just want to either understand what the poet is saying but can't since there meaning is hidden between the words. I don't like to write poetry because I just want to get out what I'm trying to say with out playing with my words.

The qualities that George has shared were very emotional and inspiring. One of the qualities was figurative language which is mainly used to give the reader a good idea of what the author felt when writing. Another quality was economical which means each word that was used in the poem was used for a reason and there is a meaning behind every word that was used. I agree with George on his reasons why poetry is important to humans because it gives their life a deeper meaning and interest. It gives people more motivation to do something with their lives and not just lay around. I like reading poetry because I like finding out what the authors main purpose in writing the poem was and finding the deeper meaning and seeing if I can relate to it.

Both of the poems never became redundant or repetitive. Poetry is important for humans to share their experiences and emotions in a creative way. Emotion shows how it connects to the reader and figurative language helps visualize what is actually going on in the poem. Yes, I agree with George.

One of the qualities George had pertained to in the video was how poems bring in this sense of emotion. They tend to connect with the reader on a different level than books and other literature. It's easy to read something and admit that it made you sad or happy but analyzing further its a true story just from the inside. Another quality he had gave was that there are many play on words and figurative language. It adds more meaning but also exaggeration. The more vivid and intricate a poem is, the more emotions and feelings will be present. I agree with Georges reasoning that it is important to humans poetry isn't another time of literature. It shares a special part because poetry can literally be anything. Personally, I am not a fan of poetry only because sometimes it gets messy. I'm more of a fan to read it simply and understand it the first time. I feel like poetry shouldn't be complicated in a sense that its our emotions.
