She did not mean it literally, of course, but this had such great impact on me. Each word in a poem matters. Each word needs to fit just right. I began falling for the thesaurus. I wanted to make sure each word was the right word. 

Within all my writing, I try to find the right word to convey what I am trying to say. This takes time, but is worth it in the end. I follow this phrase throughout the past 3 years of life. Without it, I would not be in front of you teaching right now. I would be much too afraid!
