         <description><![CDATA[<div>I learned that Texas was kind of built off Mexico and I did not know this. I always thought it was like more started by itself or America but Mexico got it more people and gave it a foundation even though it eventually kind of wanted to take out Texas or at least beat them in this Revolution. This ties to the land that was given through the Louisiana Purchase.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>One thing I learned about the Texas Revolution was about the origins of the "Come and take It" flag I thought this was pretty cool because I've seen these flags before and was pretty curious on where they originated. This ties into the Louisiana Purchase because with all this new land, the Americans were now super close and shared borders with Texas and Mexico.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Something I learned is that for a while  Texas was it's own country I thought after it separated form Mexico it emidalty went and became a state in the US. It connects to the Louisiana purchase because the settlers were moving into the new land purchased in the Louisiana purchase and some of those settlers went into Texas. And the settlers were a big part in the Texas Revolution.</div>]]></description>

I always just assumed they legalized slaves just because America has.<br><br>Anyways, the Louisiana was kind of the start of major westward expansion, so when Americans were settling everywhere they just went to Texas too.</div>]]></description>
