1. If I were a color I would be a deep, dark green because I love trees and all kinds of plants!

2. If I were a car, I'd be a natural wooden toy van because it wouldn't need gas to go! I enjoy camping and road trips, so I could pack a tiny toy tent and tiny toy bikes in the van with a tiny toy dog and a tiny replica of my hubby! I could set up a toy camp site in a toy forest and pretend we're off in the woods when we can't actually be there.

3. If I were a character, I would be the little old lady from The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, because she's not afraid of ANYTHING! How cool would that be? She also knew how to forage from the woods, which I think is a pretty awesome skill!

Current Position: Elementary Special Education teacher

The 3 C's

If I was a color, I would be a dark blue. This color would fit because I have a patient calming demeanor. I fit the color blue, and it fits me!

If I were a car, I would have to be multipurpose and reliable. That being said I would have to say I would be my first vehicle. I would be a Ford Ranger with a camper top. Reliable enough to last for years being treated poorly and can be used to haul things and cart you all over the country.

If I were a character it would be Will Treaty from the multi-book series (close to 17 I think) The Rangers Apprentice. My favorite series from when I first read it in third grade. This was the first character I saw myself in. Our personality is the same. He is a kind and caring person who always does what is right even if it is hard. He is always there for those he loves and those who support him. He isn't afraid of making mistakes but if he does, he will work to fix them with integrity and honesty. He continues to grow and adapt while always looking out for others. I feel that Will is me and I am Will in the book series. I apologize for the rambling but I love this question and this series.

During the Day: Last week, I started shadowing at the South Carolina School for the Blind. I am working to become a teacher of the visually impaired, and I am working to gain knowledge about and experience in the field before it comes time for completing my practicum. In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, solve jigsaw puzzles, and spend time with my family.

Color: If I were a color, I would be red. Red is usually associated with intensity or strong emotions. I am a feeler, very in touch with my emotions. I tend to experience my emotions quite intensely whether they are positive or negative.

Car: If I were a car, I would be a Beetle. Even though I will never be able to drive, I've always liked the idea of small, cute cars. I imagine a Beetle would drive smoothly and fast. I feel like those characteristics fit me because I am easy to get along with, and I am easily amused and excited.

Character: If I were a character, I would be Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Hermione is bookish, loyal, and determined. I am an avid reader. I am the type of person who never wants to go to bed knowing that someone I love or care about is upset with me for any reason. When I really want something, I will do whatever I can to obtain it or make it work.

If you were a COLOR what would you be? Why? I would probably be the color dark blue because I feel that I can be really calm and quiet, like the sky, but I can also be really rough and crazy, like an ocean.

If you were a CAR what would you be? Why? Probably something really small and speedy. (I dont know enough car models and names)

If you were a CHARACTER what or who would you be? Why? (Character can be movie, book, cartoon, anime, etc.) I think I would be Tigger from Winnie The Pooh. I am a really busy body, lots of energy, and talkative.

1. If I were a color I would be forest green. It is my favorite color and I find it to be a calming color for me.

2. If I were a car I would be a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was my first car that I bought during my undergrad. It was a very unreliable car, but I loved it.

3. If I were a character I would be Alice from Alice in Wonderland. It is my favorite movie/book and I love the idea of being in a world of your own/going down the rabbit hole.

Current Position: Paraprofessional of Early childhood

During the Day: I am working in the PSD early childhood classroom. During working hours, I should always focus on the students and cooperate with the lead teacher in class to complete teaching, record data, and perform other tasks. After getting off work, I spend time with my family. I have three boys.

If you were a COLOR, what would you be? Why?

I would be red. In my country, red represents auspiciousness, optimism, and joy. During many traditional festivals, such as the Mid-Autumn and Spring Festival. We would decorate our home in red and wear red clothes.

If you were a CAR, what would you be? Why?

I would be a hybrid Toyota RAV4. I bought this car last year. It usually uses electricity when driving in the town. I don't have to worry about having a charging place when driving long distances. Because it can use gas. It is convenient.

If you were a CHARACTER, what or who would you be? Why?

I would be Kevin from Home Alone. I watched this movie with my kids this past winter break. I am attracted to this cute character. I like his bravery, wisdom, and calm attitude towards things. He guarded his home.

Current Profession: I am currently the Connections and Ministry Assistant at Bear Valley Church in Lakewood, CO. I also nanny throughout the week!

Color: If I were to be a color, I would be blue of any shade. Not only is it my favorite color, but it also reminds me of mountain lakes where I grew up!

Car: If I were a car, I would be a Ford F250. I am known to be pretty loud and like to be able to go off the path a bit!

Character: If I were a character, I would be Nancy Drew, mostly because of my intense true crime obsession.

Area of Emphasis: Early Childhood Special Education, Early Intervention (ECSE) 

Current Profession: Early Childhood Educator at a daycare/preschool 

Color: If I were a color I would be purple because sometimes it is deep and dark but also sometimes light and fun. 

Car: If I were a car I would be my old Subaru Forester because it’s hardy, resilient and has many miles on it. (I’m 41.) 

Character: If I were a character I’d be Janice from the Muppet Show because she’s a hippie who loves peace and balance, but also loves to rock out and have fun.

Current Profession: Appliance Technician

1. If I were a color, I would be blue. Air and water are both without color, but they both show an amazing blue when exposed to the bright light from the sun. I am not that bright myself, but I can look good because of others around me.

2. If I were a car, I would be a Stanley Steamer. They were able to run on many different heat sources and water. They were able to reach speeds over 60 MPH before many of their competitors. Reliable and capable.

3. If I were a character, I would be Snoopy. A dog is loyal, lovable, courageous, helpful, friendly, obedient, and many more things. But Snoopy is special. Snoopy made people smile, laugh, believe, and even shoot for the moon. Not everything I try is successful, but I don't let that hold me back.

1. _{If I were a color, I would be pink! As you can tell in the picture, I love the color pink. I feel that the color pink brings joy and happiness. I also feel that with the color pink comes kindness and warmth. Rather, I am the color pink; it fits me and my personality very well!}

2. _{If I were a car, I would be a Ford Bronco. I feel that I am being a little biased here due to me owning the car. However, with this car comes a lot of adventures. Rather, it is an outdoor car that is not scared to get dirty, loves to be in the mountains, and can make it through any terrain. This car fits me so well because I am down for any adventure (terrain) someone brings to me. The car is also me when it comes to its versatility; it is suitable for any activity, and I feel that when working in this field, you have to be versatile.}

3. _{I actually asked my basketball players to answer this one for me. They said that if I were a character, I would be Katniss from The Hunger Games. They said that I am tough, independent, smart, and resourceful. I would tend to agree with them. I am very independent in my life and do not rely on many people. They say that I am tough because I coach all boys and do not let them push me around; I am usually the one in charge. I would like to think that I am smart. I am currently on my second master's from UNC. I am excited to get to know you all!}

The 3 C's

If I were a color, I would be the color pastel pink. I really adore all pastel colors as they are a nice pop of color without being overwhelming. Pink has always been a color I resonated with growing up as a ballet dancer and have continued to find joy in other objects, such as the color in flowers.

If I were a car, I would be a Volkswagon Tiguan. I am not a huge car person or fan of driving, but I have been enjoying my current car, the Tiguan. This car is a sweet, small car that fits my lifestyle perfectly. As of now, this car has been dependable and brought a lot of joy through different trips. I feel like I can connect to the dependability of the car and the enjoyment that having friends and family around brings.

If I were a character, I would be the tortoise from the Tortoise and the Hare. I have always been a person who felt like I needed to complete things at the same pace as others to reach the same accomplishments. Over the past years, I have come to realize that I can accomplish the same things and achievements as others at a pace that is right for me.

Current Profession: ILC Paraprofessional

Hi Everyone! My name is Priya Senthilnathan and I'm from Denver, CO! I started with a degree in Accounting but fell in love with teaching after working as a tutor while going to college. Since then, I've been working as a paraprofessional at an elementary school. As of this school year, I've been working as an ILC paraprofessional but am hoping to become an ILC educator/teacher as our ILC program grows. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and playing with my puppy!

My 3 C's:

1. If I were a color, I'd be a dark, pine green given that I love hiking and am a nature enthusiast!

2. If were a car, I'd be a Dodge Charger. Though I don't know much about cars, I've always enjoyed how fast they have been known to cruise!

3. If I were a character, I'd be Rachel from Friends. I'm a die-hard Friends fan and have always admired Rachel's self-made character.

My educational program is special education generalist with an ASD certificate. I love working with kiddos with behavioral challenges though and hope to direct my career with this passion.

Current Profession:

Currently, while in this program, I am bartending and taking as many classes as I can a semester!

Previously I have taught in classrooms as a general elementary education teacher, in behavior focused classrooms, full-time substitute at a school, long-term substitute positions, para, and in a middle school CLD classroom.

If I were a color, I would be white because white has the ability to utilize multiple or almost all other colors. White can adopt other colors, which I display in my flexibility of adapting to my surroundings, other people, or my ever-changing feelings.

If I were a car, I would be a 1944 Ford Pickup (probably bright red, although I would rather be a baby blue), with a neutral interior. I am a vibrant and extroverted person, but I also have a need to be calm and recharge in my own space.

If I were a character, I would be Jessica Day from New Girl. I relate to her character throughout the series in many ways, but my biggest connection to her is her quirkiness and ability to be who she is. I am a very quirky individual and love to express myself through fun outfits, decorations, music, and crafting (specifically diamond painting).

Current profession: Academic Dean at Windsor High school in Windsor, CO

COLOR: If I were a color, I would be black and white. With color, I am drawn to contrast which also ties to my interests, life, and personality. I tend to operate at more extreme levels of the spectrum in everything I invest in (education, my career, my hobbies). My personality also ranges from being withdrawn and quiet in some situations to bold and commanding in others.

CAR: I'm not a knowledgeable car person, but car characteristics that I would want encompassed would include practicality (nothing flashy) and reliability. I tend to be a simple person in material realms and also personally deeply value being there for others.

CHARACTER: I have recently been in love with Robin Hobb's fantasy series. She has a character named Molly whom I love. She is passionate and strong and stubborn, a loving partner and wife, kind to others, practical and elegant, and a leader in her spheres.

Current Profession: Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Color: If I were a color I'd be yellow because yellow just makes you smile. I am a peacemaker at heart.

Car: If I were a car I'd be a Honda Civic because I am dependable and hard working. Hondas last forever and go through anything.

Character: If I were a character I'd be Emily Elizabeth from the Clifford series because I am a large dog owner (Bernedoodle) and find my dog getting into all kinds of adventures and mischief.

Current Profession: 2nd Grade Teacher

1. If I were a color I would be a a light orange color because I think I am a good mixture between calm and positive bright energy!

2. If I were a car I would be a VW Bug! I am known to be silly and quirky which I think the bug nicely represents!

3. If I were a character I would be Monica from friends. I love how she is funny and quirky but also responsible and reliable!

1. If you were a COLOR what would you be? Why?

I would be the color purple, because it is my wife's favorite color. ;) It could only help me more after ten years of marriage and she has given me two awesome boys that I love with all my heart. She is my biggest supporter when it comes to furthering my education and my best friend.

2. If you were a CAR what would you be? Why?

I would be a 1931 Duesenberg Model J Sedan. I helped maintain and showcase a museum of 50 cars as one of my jobs that helped me return to college in exchange for bringing publicity to the downtown area. I was fascinated by this car as I was responsible for the weekly maintenance, I loved to sit inside the vehicle for that brief moment. Once a year I would drive it in the local parade, a simple but awesome thrill to be this classic elegant car.

3. If you were a CHARACTER what or who would you be? Why?

I would be the character Blue from Blue's Clues, because it is my kids favorite character. I love to keep them engaged and laughing. I changed my career after twenty years in business to go back as the low man on the totem pole because I saw that the education field was lacking teachers, especially ones that went the extra mile. My oldest son Madden is 9 years old and was diagnosed with severe autism and ADHD, finding the help he needed was proving near impossible. The only solution was to dig deep and research more about successful strategies and seek out the best practices from other open minded teachers. Seems easy when you write about it, but the plight my wife and I have endured hasn't been easy, but it has been well worth it to help our son and others as we grow.
