Damage to the ocean: Pollution of all kinds greatly effect the ocean. Air pollution causes acid rain which then makes the oceans acidic, harming plant and animal life. Millions of tons of plastic and other waste are also dumped into the ocean. Chemicals and non degradable plastics cause harm to the oceans and its inhabitants and are difficult to clean up. Over fishing is also a concern and over 90 percent of fish have been fished by humans. This is all important because humans so heavily depend on the ocean for resources. If we can't learn to take care of it we will eventually come across serious implications.

In terms of preserving the ocean there are many things that we can do such as:
Reduce Your Plastic Use: Did you 50-80% of marine debris is plastic. These plastic material are commonly broken down into smaller pieces that commonly become choking hazards for many marine life species.
Keep Beaches and Waterways Clean:

Did you know that the amount of plastic waste of on beaches has increase 140% since the year 1944.
