Industries were mainly owned by U.S. rights before Castro nationalized them. It then decreased stability and employment. To prevent economic collapse, Castro had the Cuban economy depend on the USSR on trade and profit-making. When the USSR economy fell too, the Cuban economy finally collapsed. </div>]]></description>
