i see you. you as a whole, and not just 'you' in a mirror, looking for imperfections and letting insecurities and doubts overwhelm your mind. because i see you even when you look away from the mirror. and i think that 'you' is beautiful, in every and all the ways that you are. and i like that you. call all those the reasons why i like you, but in all honesty, there is only one reason: because you are you.

Mamoritai–the sentiment holds a romantic connotation; the desire and dedication to safeguard your loved one (White, 2020.)  The world has been cruel, and genuine happiness and peace are hard to come by.
