His invention of the Tesla coil, based on alternating current, marked the beginning of a revolution in electrical energy. The race to create wireless communication was one of the most intriguing competitions of his time, with Tesla in rivalry with Guglielmo Marconi. Although Marconi received recognition for radio transmission, Tesla was a pioneer in wireless energy transfer. His most famous project, the Wardenclyffe Tower, was intended to enable global wireless energy transmission, but it was not fully realized. Nevertheless, this vision remains an inspiration for further technological development. Tesla also contributed to the development of electromagnetism, including the unit of magnetic induction named after him. Julio Rey Pastor (Logroño, Spain, 14 August 1888-Buenos Aires, Argentina, 21 February 1962) was a Spanish mathematician.

After his 1909 doctoral thesis, Rey Pastor did research in the field of synthetic algebraic geometry and higher projective geometry. In the memoirs he wrote after his stays in Berlin and Göttingen, he dealt with the synthetic study of curves, incorporating groups of transformations and axiomatics. With the creation in 1915 of the Mathematical Laboratory and Seminar, he worked on the history of mathematics, real and complex synthetic geometry, conformal representation, Galois theory and numerical methods.

Miguel de Guzmán Ozámiz (Cartagena, Spain, 12 January 1936 - Getafe, Spain, 14 April 2004) was a Spanish mathematician and teacher.

He became a member of the Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales in 1983 and his acceptance speech was entitled Impactos del análisis armónico (Impacts of harmonic analysis).

In 1999 he founded the ESTALMAT project (Stimulation of Mathematical Talent) in Madrid, with the aim of promoting the development of mathematical skills in young people who show an interest in mathematics.
