I: The audience was the central communist party. Stalin wanted to show that his best intentions were for communism through this plan. He needed to please the party

P: The purpose was to show how Stalin has his best interest for Russia and he has a good plan. He was going to make Russia a more powerful country, changing it to an industrial economy rather than an agricultural economy. Through these changes, Russia would become more communist. We can learn from this document that in order for a country to be powerful, they need to be on top when  it comes to having new technologies if they want to be powerful.

P: Stalin was the one writing about this plan. Since he was the one who also came up with the plan and is in power, he would want to make it sound as good as possible so he is approved. He would not show any bad side to the plan because that would make him look worse

With strong dictatorship, he talks to the Central Communist Party on the details of the First Five Year Plan. 

The purpose of this source was to show to the Central Communist Party the great benefits of the Five Year Plan and how Stalin was very confident with his plans and the expected outcomes, as well as showing how industrialization will allow for more production, more technology, etc., resulting in more power.

The intended audience is for everyone to see how the USSR has changed and how their country will now become better in every aspect of economics, agriculture, innovation, and much more. 

The point of view of from the author (Stalin) to the whole world was a show of power and somewhat their overconfidence. Stalin tried to show power to make other countries victim to become timid due to all the new renovation the USSR was making in their country. 

Stalin had many purposes for writing the 5 year plan. One of its main reasons was to have a set list of actions that needed to be done in the next 5 years. Another, was to make other countries timid due to the new renovations making the USSR stronger then ever. Stalin’s 5 Year Plan endeavored to expedite Russia’s industrial development so that it could compete with Western countries, by collectivizing agriculture, thus creating a surplus whose profits would then fund the USSR’s emerging industries. While Stalin’s party promised ‘peace, land, and bread’, Stalin ruled with an iron fist, either executing political opponents or condemning them to life sentences in labor camps called gulags. As a result of redistributing privately owned farmland to kolkhozes, thousands of agricultural workers perished.
