This used to be their clothing back then and it is still worn on some days like Oktoberfest. Today germans wear more like Adidas shoes, sport shirts, pants, jeans, hoodies, beanies and more. the clothing has changed and moved on to a more loose and better quality clothing. All of these Adidas and modern clothing spreads into other countries. Many countries have lost their ways in clothing. The clothing has evolved into a more light and more common material. One of my favorites is apfelstrudle. Apfelstrudle is an old way to make apples which then led to apple pie. Apfelstrudle is cooked apples with lots of sugar on top and then rolled up in this bread, it is very delicious. Dishes from today are burgers, pizzas, ice cream, and desserts like lemon pie. A lot of these dishes are made from ingredients that are fake. Like the burgers have meat pads that are kept in refrigerators for a long time so they need to be preserved with chemicals. It started out 1810 on the 12. It is a drinking holiday. Back then they served homemade ale by all the people that came to the tents and set up shop. It is said that Germany has the best beer in the world. Today they just sell mass production beer but they also have some ale that is very expensive and prestigious. Back then and today the still wear traditional clothing for this holiday.  Oktoberfest has gone worldwide. Many countries celebrate Oktoberfest. One of these countries is Guatemala. Here in Germany today the wife and husband both pay if the husband can't afford or their parents help to pay the wedding. The bride is in a white dress and the groom in a tux. Back then the Grooms parents paid for the wedding, most of the time, the bride had bread and salt for hood harvest. The groom had corn for fortune and richness. There is acting in churches and theaters and homes about how christ is born. They tell tales about Christmas to little kids. We sing a lot of beautiful and traditional songs. We wait for all the family so we can open the gifts. We also have a dinner with turkey and German foods. Back then it was a little bit similar. They Sang and had feasts through the day to celebrates the lords birthday. Then the went to sleep and waited for st. Nicholas to come and leave presents in the doorway. Then there was a family that hosted the celebration and all family members ate and opened their presents there. Our houses have running water, electricity, gas, and many useless items like televisions, phones and more things. Our houses are made out of string materials. These materials are metal rods, strong brick walls, cement, and strong wood. Back then houses where very simple. They didn't have running water, gas, or any other type of thing we have today. Instead they had wells, and candles. They did have lights tho but had to be turned off at certain hours. These houses were made with weak cements and bricks, and mud bricks. They also had wood but it wasn't that strong. These houses where weaker so they could get damaged by earthquakes very easily but Germany dosen't have many earthquakes.
