Antiblackness investigates the ways in which the dehumanization of Black people has been foundational to the establishment of modernity. Drawing on Black feminism, Afropessimism, and critical race theory, the book's contributors trace forms of antiblackness across time and space, from nineteenth-century slavery to the categorization of Latinx in the 2020 census, from South Africa and Palestine to the Chickasaw homelands, from the White House to convict lease camps, prisons, and schools.

Recognizing ways and understanding how anti blackness manifests. In the article Recognizing and dismantling it states "Anti-blackness infiltrates every structure and system in America. To rectify anti-blackness, it is imperative to understand and be able to identify the ways it manifests." This further proves my point because it shows anti blackness is a real thing and people are heavily bothered by it in many ways. Also in that same article it shows us "Once you are able to recognize and disrupt your own anti-blackness you can teach your children how to be anti-racist. Our inability to directly address and rectify the greatest atrocity in American history (slavery) has prevented the country from truly moving forward." This is proving that people are actually taking initiative to get rid of this by putting it on their children.

Why is anti blackness a human rights issue. It is a human rights issue because it doesn't affect a certain community it affects everyone, people of color and non color have fought for a very long time to get out of this but yet even with the laws anti blackness still exists. The article UN human rights states "To me and to a number of other activists from the US, we believe that the human rights movement has to evolve and understand the global implications of structural racism. This means engaging the United Nations and a variety of other human rights bodies." They are proving that with interaction with government and help from the government we can possibly get rid of this anti blackness.
