 The  First Amendment,  also known as "Freedom of Speech" plays a huge role in my culture and is one of the most respected values. It states that it prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, ensuring that there is no prohibition on the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, inferring with the right to peaceably assemble, or prohibiting the petitioning of the governmental redress of grievances. Thus making the First Amendment one of the prime examples as to why America is often referred to as "Land of the free".
