         <description><![CDATA[<div>Far From the Tree is a story about three siblings, Grace, Maya, and Joaquin who, until now , were completely unaware of each others existence. Grace, adopted at birth, got pregnant at age 16, and gave her own baby up for adoption. In the midst of struggling with the loss of her child and, she finds out about Maya, her younger sister, and Joaquin, here older brother. She decides to reach out to them. Maya, adopted at birth, lives in a family where she doesn't feel like she belongs. Her mother and father are constantly fighting, and her mothers drinking becomes out of  control. Unable to relate to her sister, she confides in her girlfriend, Claire. Joaquin,  the oldest, has struggled his whole life going from foster home to foster home. Now he is living with Linda and Mark, who want to adopt him, but he doesn't know if he trusts himself to not mess it all up. After a string of self sabotage, specifically with his ex girlfriend, Birdie, he doesn't think he is good enough for anyone. Together these three siblings help each other through growing up in three very different situations, and along the way try and find their mysterious birth mother. </div>]]></description>
