When I model reading aloud and annotating, I record myself doing it once and then use that video live in class, too. Nearpod also allows me to record my voice on a slide so that I am reading the slide aloud for kids who need oral administration and for ELL kiddos.

If an activity like GimKit! is practiced in face-to-face, an assignment (informal assessment) is created and left in Schoology for asynchronous students. In trying to create similar activities for both forms of learning, I attempt to remain equitable.

We need to remember to give them time to adjust back to social environments and also help them Remember to be social while also being safe… Doing collaborative of activities from a distance has been working. Assigning class responsibilities actually worked with kids at home, as well. Fabing says that CTC will randomly call attendance throughout class to be sure that kids are staying logged in for class. Online chat is helpful for at home kids but we are worried they are uncomfortable to share background noises or responsibilities (siblings).
