Much better, ive just put my assessment brief's together this year and there was far too much information in them

I am glad to see that grid has been removed as I felt it was totally unnecessary

only thing I would add would be the LOs (I cannot see them and student do use)

That's a lot simpler and easier to look at. Some thoughts are: I thought that some information on the AssmtBrief was included to make them more robust against appeals; such as the warning about lateness and the like. Will this be as robust?

I agree that the ILOs are useful for everyone: on a module with many ILOs split between assessments I could see that signposting which ones are relevant to the task would be useful.

The assessment task section, whilst being nice and flexible, open as it is might need some structuring or prompts to assist when filling it in, I find those on the existing brief very useful as an aide-memoire as someone who is ND.

Does the Assessment Support module on BlackBoard have presentational requirements for absolutely every type of assessment? I am thinking of presentations, where we would stipulate that the text on the slide be visible from 1 metre, things like that. If we signpost to somewhere else, we do need someone checking that all information is available at that location - who would that be?

Assessment Weighting as a phrase is unclear - weighting of what? Somewhere needs to be the phrase '....of the module mark', I think.

Older version was too long but is this too brief?

Nothing to say what opportunity for success is available - e.g. when they can submit a plan or do a mock etc. would that be just included in the module introduction?

Student feedback will be needed (if not already sought) to better determine what information is needed/wanted by students on assessment briefs.

There is no assessment title, just type. As mentioned there should be guidance of what to include with regard to task details and instructions for learners for format, file type, intended audience for the task where relevant, etc. Perhaps also include Word count, time limit as part of the first table.

The older version was too long but the current version may have gone the other way with too little information on the task goals and how the assessment process links to their practice or course wide relevance (links to authentic assessment) - e.g. what skills will the assignment enhance or how it will enhance employability so learners understand the purpose behind what they have been asked to do (assessment goals)/ILOs.
