When they talk with their friend while I’m teaching, I would pause for awhile and let them talk until they realise their friends and I are looking at them. Then I would ask, “do you need more time to talk?” “Do you want to replace me teaching infront?” Then Inwould remind them why its wrong to do so.

For inattention, maybe my topic that day is boring.

For not following instructions, I don't assume anything, I just give them a countdown timer to do the work. If they still don't, I change my instructions. Probably they don't understand the instruction. Usually works except for one student.

Student is not interested to pay attention to the lesson with such behaviour. I will make assumptions based on the specific behaviour. For example if the student is staring out the window, he/she is probably distracted with his/her personal issue at home. If he/she is talking to his/her classmate during instruction, he/she may not understand the lesson prior to the instruction. If the student is putting his/her head on the table, maybe he/she did not have enough sleep last night.
