I have interviewed 3 people that I know. First my cousin received message from her friend in whatsapp saying that we going to have a lockdown again. She was scared and panicked. after for a while in facebook it shows it was a fake news.
Secondly I interviewed my mother saying that one day she saw a news in Facebook that school going to start early when MCO time. She didnt believe so she ask everyone of her friends. They told that it was a fake news.From that she wont believe news from Facebook.
Lastly, I interviewed my neighbour that before 3 moths she received a message from her friend that we can travel anywhere. She was shock.She were thinking that it was a not a true news.From that inciddent she wont believe friends and she will confirm by seeing in Tv.

I have find 3 people and ask them that they have believed or have heard before a fake news about Covid-19. Firstly, I have asked to my father and he said that he got a fake news from a Whatsapp group telling that a special military helicopters will spray pesticides against the virus in the skies all over the country. He felt so shock but he also felt so stupid and get to know that it was a fake news. Secondly, I have asked my mother and she said that she got a fake news from also a Whatsapp group telling that experts suggest doing a simple verification every morning, breathe in deeply and hold your breathe for 10 seconds. If this can done be without coughing or without difficulties, it shows that our lung are good. My mother believed it at first and later on she get to know that it was a fake news. Lastly , I have asked my uncle and he said that he got a fake news from his friend telling that the virus can be cured by one bowl of freshly boiled garlic water which was told by a old Chinese doctor. My uncle believed it and tried doing it but when time goes his other friends told him that it was a fake news but it is still healthy to drink boiled garlic water.

I have interviewed 3 people (my cousins) about they will believed a news before they do research and confirm or not. Two of them say not always. They said they heard those news from their parents and friends who are also not really confirm and didn't know really well about COVID-19 . They said they are scared that COVID-19 will spread to their living are and i told them that COVID-19 is actually somewhere around us we just need to take good care of ourselves follow the SOP rules than everything will be find.

My first interviewee was Yeoh Siew JIn. ( Age : 41 years old, Occupation : Accountant, Address : Gelugor ) After being asked about the false news that she had received on COVID-19, she replied that during the MCO, her colleagues were spreading a chained message through WhatsApp about the closing of all the restaurants. As she is someone who rarely makes her own meals, she was somewhat devastated about the fact that this pandemic has caused her to have difficulties in getting her daily meals. However, it is later on realised that the message was a a false speculation through a trusted website.

My second interview was Tan Cheng Lok ( Age : 67, Occupation : Businessman, Address : Jelutong. )
He was informed that there was a confirmed COVID-19 case in his housing area. This made him panic severely as at that time of incident, he coincidentally caught a flu. Due to this, he was worried for weeks until he even attempted to get a COVID-19 test just to put his mind at ease. Luckily, just before heading out to the hospital, his nephew who works as a doctor clarified to him that the news he received was entirely false.

Lastly, my third interviewee was Liu Kun Xin. ( Aged : 33, Occupation : Piano teacher, Address : Bayan Lepas )
She read an article produced by the Ministry of Health stating that drinking hot water is able to wash down the virus in the body and prevent COVID-19. She was impressed by the fact that a disease that is spreading world-wide and taking away lives of millions of people can be easily cured just by drinking hot water. After a period of time, medical doctors and scientist started to defend against the false speculation that hot water is effective curing the disease. That is when, she realised, news from even the approved sources might also be false , at times.

My first encounter for this interview was Darien Chong. (Age: 17, Occupation: Student, Address: Bukit Jambul)
One of his uncles and aunties sent an article speculating that if you eat boiled eggs your immune system will prevent COVID1-19 from entering your body. He was disgusted by his uncles and aunties for believing such news but he did it anyways. After a week of consuming boiled eggs, he was then informed by one of his friends that it was false and told he should have looked up into it. But he was in denial and defensive and told them that it was all fun and games, but in reality, he was embarrassed and felt stupid for believing. His friends then went to a website where they expose fake news and sent him the article about the news he believed in. He then surrendered and told them the truth saying that he was just being denial and felt embarrassed. He then told his aunties and uncles it was all fake news and should refer to a trusted website.

I've interviewed 3 very lovely people to help gather more research and infomation on this matter. The first participatent i've interviewed was Jackie Ong Kok Seng. (Age: 49, Occupation: Stocker, Address: Green Lane) It is said that COVID-19 can be transmitted through mosquito bites. He had heard this news through Facebook, he joked about this matter like how mosquitos are actually afraid of him so he would be fine but he still somewhat believed the rumours until it was later debunked by the World Health Organization. Next, i've interviewed one of my good friends named Angeline Ong Xing Yen (Age: 16, Occupation: Student in SMKGeorgetown , Address: Green Lane) She had heard about this myth from one of her buddies who happpens to be scrolling through instagram and stumbled upon it. The rumour is that garlic protects you from the coronavirus, It sounds ridiculous so she didn't really believed it but we still believed its a fake rumour since garlic has no correlation to the COVID-19 what so ever. Lastly, i've interviewed one of my online friends named Sonder De La Cruz. (Age: 15, Occupation: Student, Address: Manila) He overheard this myth when his cousin sister was talking to one of her friends, the myth was about the coronavirus spreading through parcels from China. When i was told this myth absolutely believed it since it was quite logical but then i stopped believing it when i made more research about it through google. It is said that coronaviruses, including those that cause SARS and MERS and are similar to SARS-CoV-2, scientists believe that the virus cannot survive on letters or packages for an extended period of time due to the many weeks of shipping in high temperatures.

One of his very good friends sent him an article speculating that Penang Island had already reached to more than a 100 cases. He was shocked by the news that was told and immediately spread it to his family and even me. I told him it might be fake because I have not seen news from a trusted website saying that Penang Island has more than a 100 cases. He wanted to prove me wrong by going to the trusted website and turns out it was indeed false. After he found out it was false he immediately apologize to everyone he spread the news to.

My third and last encounter for this interview was Diane Lim. (Age 15, Occupation: Student, Address: Greenlane) She read this article speculating that once you get the virus, it would instantly kill you. She was worried and scared when she heard it. The emotions were growing stronger and she became more anxious each day when she check the number of infected. She then realised that you can actually search up the news to see whether or not it was false. So she did, and luckily the news as false.

The fake news that she ever heard is that our country is going to have second lock-down and it seems to be serious enough to let others believe it. She got that information from applications like FB and Whatsapp. She was shocked, scared, disappointed and lost when she heard that news. The real news is that no MCO and citizens must practice social and physical distancing. She discovered the real news by looking for official news from certain organization and through television. The next person I interview who is my father, the fake news that he get to know was numerous cases are in this certain place. He was extremely scared and shocked when he first heard as he goes that place very frequently in a week. The real news is that the area is safe and it is just rumors. He discovered the real news when he saw news from television. Lastly I interviewed my younger sister, Elicia about this. The fake news she heard was lock-down in Sabah. She heard that new from whatsapp. She felt sad and anxiety when she heard that. The real news is Sabah is not going to have lock-down and they just need to stay at home for some days. She discovered the real news by serving Google.

The fake news my dad heard was that the virus was spreading chronically by a horse. The fake news my mum heard was from a Whatsapp chain which was about the lockdown was gonna continue until year 2021 and we couldn't go to the outdoors until then.Lastly, my grandfather told me that he heard that people can still go out to shop during MCO.

The first person I interviewed was my neighbour Mr. Chong, 79 years old who has received a WhatsApp message that drinking water can flush out the covid virus from our body which later on has been proofed that it has no effects and difference of this virus in the body.

The second person I interviewed was my aunt,
Nirmaldewi, 56 years old who has also received a fake message stating that drinking clorox or hydroctchloroquine can be an emergency and home treatment to cure this virus. This was soon proofed that it doesn't work and has a deadly effect on our body. Many has tried this and are in critical conditions and are also dead.

The third person I interviewed was my mom, she has received a message on Instagram saying that the schools will be reopened on the year 2021. Which was fake as the schools has reopened on 15th of July 2020.

The first person I have interviewed is my mother, Cindy Ooi Hooi Ching, 47 years old. There was one time where she heard that all schools will be closed the whole year and will only reopen the next year. She thought it wasn't possible and didn't quite believe it. She then found out it was just a rumour when the Ministry of Education clarified that it wasn't true and people were just making it up.
The second person I have interviewed is my father, John Wong Shuong Cheng, 49 years old. Once, he received a message saying that consuming bleach can act as a protection against the infection of the coronavirus. He was very shocked but soon found it was fake when the WHO warned everyone not to consume bleach because doing so is very dangerous and that this theory is fake.
The last person I interviewed is my grandmother, Lily Lee Swee Ley, 71 years old. She read an article saying that the coronavirus only affects elderly people. She was curious and wanted to know whether the information was true or false. She then found out that everybody has a risk to be infected by the coronavirus and not only elderly people by checking and referring to other sources of information.

I have interviewed 3 people that i know around me. My first interviewee
is Germaine my friend, she’s 14, she’s a student from CGL and she lives in Air Itam. She has heard that scientists have found a vaccine for covid-19. This news was told by her family members. She felt very happy and relieved that a vaccine has been found to cure the patients as soon as possible as the number of cases of covid-19 is increasing. She was devastated because the news that was told by her parents is apparently fake. The vaccine for covid-19 has yet to be found.

My second interviewee is David my dad, he’s 40, he’s an entrepreneur and he lives in Farlim. He has heard that citizens don't have to carry out social distancing as well as not having to wear a mask. He has heard about this news from his relatives.
He felt very aware of the situation as the covid-19 virus is highly contagious. After reading a bunch of articles online. Apparently, everyone has to carry out social distancing and wear a mask out even if the number of covid-19 cases are decreasing. The news that was told by his relatives was fake.

My last interviewee is Jane my aunty, she’s 42, she’s a banker and she lives in Kuala Lumpur. She has heard about the possible second lockdown (MCO) via social media sites. She saw a facebook post about having a lockdown. She was shocked after hearing about the news. However, she managed to cross checked with the official website of Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) that the second possible lockdown was a fake news. After all, there wasn’t any lockdown.

I interviewed 3 people which are my friend, sister and cousin.
My sister, Harshini is 12 and she's a primary student and goes to school. She's heard that the virus will go away when there are more people living in one house, it would reduce the number of cases not just in Malaysia but all around the world. I don't think that, I think it's the other way around because, what if one of them ends up getting the deadly virus the it would be very easy for the others in that house to get the virus.

Next person I interviewed was my friend, Jasmine she's 14 and goes to CGL too. She's heard that onion will help kill the virus, that's what she heard from a social media platform, Instagram. Apparently, if you have onions on you, you'd not get the virus. She was shocked after finding out that regular onions could kill a deadly virus just like that. Then she saw that it was proven that onions cannot kill the virus and found out it was just false information.

The last person I interviewed was my cousin,
Sharan, he's 15 and goes to school in Shah Alam. He told me that wearing cotton masks can't help with the virus but can kill you because it's so thick and it will suffocate you to death. One of his friends told him that because he saw something stating that from a really big social media platform right now, TikTok.

I interviewed 3 people which are My mother,my grandmother and my friend.

My mother, Jeyanthi age 46. She heard that the virus will be gone when more people stay at home or quarantine themself. She told she believe the cases of CORONA VIRUS will reduce when more people are at home not just in Malaysia but all over the world.

The next person I interviewed was my grandmother she heard the virus will die when we stand under the hot sun. She also told if a person with COVID should stand under the hot sun to prevent the virus to spread all over their body.Based on my opinion i feel that is not this not a way to reduce the covid case as staying in Malaysia and is a hot country but yet our cases are still high.

Last but not least i interviewed my friend Sastinaa. She believed that they found vaccine to prevent the spread of Covid-19. She read the news from a trusting online website she was very happy to finally hear some good news about the virus and hope the spread of the virus will reduced after the vaccine.Unfortunately the news was fake and her hope was still a hope.

I have interviewed three people. Firstly, I interviewed my dad, Prabakharan Manogaran, 43 years old, working as car sales manager and lives at Bukit Gambir, Pulau Pinang. The fake news that he heard was the vaccine for Covid-19 is found. He heard it from the social media. Even though he was happy about it, he still did the research to know if it's true or false and he found out that it was false.
Next, I interviewed my grandmother, Kalavathi, 65 years old and lives at Bukit Gambir, Pulau Pinang. The fake news she heard was an indian soup which is rich with all indian spices and herbs will prevent us from Covid-19. She heard it from her friends and relatives. She felt fishy about it. I helped her to get the real news and unfortunately there was no such thing as that.
Lastly, I interviewed my sister, Legaasri Prabakharan, 17 years old, student and lives at Bukit Gambir, Pulau Pinang. The fake news that she heard was every people who are infected by Covid-19 will die. She heard that from social media too. She felt worried. She search at the WHO website and found out it was fake.

The first fake news she had heard was a vaccine was discovered in the western countries to treat Covid-19 patients. World Health Organization(WHO) has proven that there has no vaccines or treatments to completely cure or prevent this disease till date. Instead, WHO is coordinating efforts to find effective vaccines for the patients. Doctors now use antiviral medications, steroids, blood plasma transfusion and mechanical ventilation to treat patients with this disease.

The fake news she has heard is COVID 19 was from a bat disease whereelse it was from a lab. COVID 19 isn't occuring and was actually manmade. Americans believe that this virus came from a lab. Scientists believe that they can confidently say that the virus wasn't created by humans and the myths going around is nothing more than that, a myth.

The third person that I interviewed was my brother, Mervyn Megan. He is 21 years old. The fake news that he came across was the Covid-19 virus will die under the sun but there were no difference in the number of cases,despite Malaysia's temperature being high.

So, he used his palm to scan the temperature and not his forehead. The third person I interview is my friend. The fake news she heard of is about Alamanda, IOI and SMKPP11(2) has been infested by covid-19. She heard it from WhatsApp. She believed it atfirst but her parents said it's not true. The real news is the school IOI and Alamanda have no covid-19 cases at that time.

- He was scared, and shocked
- the real news was the guy got dengue , and not covid-19
- a teacher confirmed it with the student's medical certificate
