workshop 1
In the lesson today we talked about improvisation and how its a large part of the dance industry. These practical improv will come in to the lesson without a doubt in contemporary. To master this technique of actions relationships space and dynamics. We got told today to let your mind free and if not you'll find it very hard to move without consequence. We pared up today, pared up with Lewis and we had to do some duet work together to show a nice relationship in a duet. We did weight exchange and how we need to depend and trust each other while doing this exercise to do it successfully. From doing this with Lewis it taught me that while doing this exchanging toyur weight you become very grounded and also very trusted with someone else, which is a nice feeling.
My favorite part of the lesson today was pressure point and how this can change the way your actions are. I very much enjoyed this because you could still be doing the task but finding ways to allow weight on the other person but still putting your weight on them to keep you up.
It was nice to see it when people would lose that point of pressure and start again to keep that faithful relationship feeling but also doing the task with ease and maturity.

Craig today shared with us Steve and how he is a useful improvised choreographer and how people have learned of him in the dance industry.

Workshop 2

Within today's lesson I felt refurbished and new couldn't believe my eyes. To start this lesson we did the usual sat in the circle warm up the body parts with our hands. We then got told to partner up in a relationship and I went with my very good friend Lewis. We all in duets separated out into the different areas in the studio and we had to basically massage each other and the things I found out was amazing. We did all areas of the body. My legs were being done in a action of massage them on your legs then do circular motions and when that was done and placed back down onto the floor that leg that Lewis was doing felt longer, which was amazing it was so bizarre. I learn't in this lesson massages should be essential in dance because the body needs to be looked after.

I put this link in for the fact that it shows to you the effects and how it can help your body when you have a message done.

Workshop 3

Within this lesson we started off with a soothing efficient message. we started off sitting in a circle and we were hugging the muscle all over the body started with the head body/core arms then legs all the way down to the feet. This was relaxing but also freed my body with any or less pain.

We used the space and lay on the floor then to have a good sense of the ground to feel where our bodies lie and how we need and this will help our dancing if you understand the ground more.

We had partners of relationship then and we would roll on top of each other and personally me and Tom were class at it because we wasn't scared to lie on each other. thats what people had a problem with but we didn't. I could improve that thinking other ways to roll but that will come over time the more I do it.

We would go and the partner would grab a body part we use often and we can't move that this made it very difficult to keep the moment moving then but that helped then as we had to move the whole body. lesson learnt use all body parts.

To end the class all the tools we learnt this lesson we went in to the middle circle in front of everybody and with our partner and explore the Dynamics in the the uses off the floor weight exchange freedom to move the body and me and tom did excellent we were not afraid to pass each others trust onto one and other.

Workshop 4

In today's lesson was a really interesting one actually we learnt something of one of the pears, which was really interesting to really bring forth and to see their kind of choreo. I partnered with Tom jones the class rep of year two a really good mate of mine also a amazing choreographer so it was insightful to see what he's created this was a really nice male relationship. I learned all the movement and I found it very free and physical I think it's because he's a bloke and they tend to just be more physical in general. I struggled a little bit in some sections to keep up with the movement as it's really physical showing the dynamic rage with pace and effort. Itended to have many levels of actions within the dance. I found it exiting today to learn what tom was about and really helped me as a male to see what in can mean to be a male dancer when i create or try to do something similar in the future and as Tom is very grounded and tends to have a unique dynamics and movement through the dance really found a lot of hope to make decisions how my solo is going to be like.

Workshop 5

Today we went in a group of 4. It was me Erin, Chloe Harrison and morgan. We had a task to make a structured improvisation as a a group, which was really fun and interesting. We found some lovely unique movements. While we were going through the dance some nice stuff come out of it. We performed it in front of the class then many of there peers said we did excellent.

Workshop 6

In our improvisation lesson today we went through what we learnt last term and this time to apply what we have learnt really to progress and to show it through that session today. It was a little bit her racking through the thought of dynamics and going into the centre I feel like that helped me perform better and really brought out my physicalness. I feel like my alignment is always a little out so i need to remember that and not just to throw away movement.
The actions through the floor really helped me because of the dynamic range and thought process of that.

Workshop 7

Today we partnered up with a second year and i partnered we have a good relationship with Tom Jones again and this was goods because we bring the best out of each other. We explored different exercises, which were really hard and really pushed us.
I found I did well this lesson to explore and find really unique and different ways more different than I usually would I think that is because I really thought about dynamics a little bit more, which this was great for self evaluation.
Maybe sometime though I could use more than one body part with better relationship. I tend to use the same ones all the time so really invest in that and change it up.

Workshop 8

Within todays lesson I really brought out all I had today and also found it less nervous today and actually really comfortable intact and thought it was more fun as my dynamic range is improving. This is because I know improv is what you decide you want it to be and you cam change it up as much as you want and be out of your comfort zone as much as you want If you chose that. Could of explored the space actions more tho really use all area'sof the stage.

Workshop 9

In todays lesson I learnt on to focus on other parts showing the right relationship through the body while improvising and this will make me a stronger dancer and as I haven't done much improvisation lately I need to come into it this term differently and change it up be better off learning new things and the old discipline getting that slowly make me a stronger and more unique dancer.

As a dancer I am very internal with my focus bring that out and getting the audience into my eyes will strengthen my dancing ten times over so thats the new thing I need to do.

Workshop 10

In the lesson today we started off with the crayon to really get our bodies warm and this takes a lot of technique and breathe to really pursue and so this helped to get us focused and ready for the lesson.

Then we broke apart sand started explored through the space and we got given a task to connect in relationship and use the other person, which was drawn closest to you and mine was Erin, which was amazing because she's really great to work with really knows what she's doing. That was helpful.

They stood and watched all of us perform in the centre and the partner that I was with erin critiqued me and she was helpful she told me to to look out more (project), which is great because I know I don't do that enough. My energy was good as I rammed myself with the different type of dynamics this lesson and really dandy stop and pushed through the exploration.

I was really exited to show people what I've done and the start of something new because they've never seen me do something like this before so this was the first platform to really see where I can go from here so bring on the future and throw at me what its got to offer because its only going to get more interesting.
