It's based on a trial which a man named Tom Robinson who was accused of the rape of Mayella Ewell. He was convicted of this crime which he didn't commit. The movie also focused on other characters like Jem and scout, but it mainly focused on the trial.
I thought the movie was pretty good, but I thought they could of put more into the movie . Overall it was a pretty good movie. I give it four stars.

A lot of people lost their money and jobs. Ans remember the Great Depression lasted a long time, so people had no job and money for awhile. Which led to a ton of homeless people. People even sold their children . This time period was really sad ( As the name of this event is called The Great Depression.)Every day life was horrible people tried to find jobs and get money to feed their family and themselves. There were a lot of protest. After about 10 years it finally ended.

Racism In " To Kill A Mocking Bird"

By: Gaven Carter

Racism in the book is touched on a lot. We see it a lot during the trial with Tom Robinson. Tom was wrongly accused of the rape of Mayella Ewell. IT was obvious that he didn't do it and it was actually the father who did it, but they blamed it on a black because he knew he would get away with it. And he did, after the trial Tom was sent to jail. There is other things that were racist in the story such as black people being called the n word.
I don't like that racism is in the story, but in that time period racism was a big thing. I wished they would have used racism in this story, but they did. So, yea I'm not a big fan of the racism in the story.
