I liked how it was straight and to the point but I felt as though the person was being too direct in their statements with "you better bet" and other phrases like this. I think that if the speech would have been more professional then it would have been more appealing. Though, I would still need to see her resume and her cover letter to make a final decision. Ties in with her straightforwardness, which is another good quality to have in this industry.
This hiring also slightly depends on her application information, as I would like to know why she wants to come here, rather than stay at the other newspaper company. I liked how she found a common interest with her audience like wanting the truth. She stated that she had experience as a reporter and some of her qualities as a person. I also liked how she thanked the person for listening at the end and saying that she hopes to her from them .
