And his dad was a terrible author

  

 When his grandma said “Hello.” 

 He swam down deep below

Mr Shark didn’t like to go too deep

Because it gave him the creeps 

Mr Shark read his dad’s story 

It was about a fish called Dory

It was way too late 

As Dory had met a terrible fate

Mr Shark’s dinner had been dished

By the time he was finished  

Dory had passed his lips

Yes, he was his Fish and chips!

 But when he went to bed

 A terrible thought was in his head

So he got up

And his pet Lobster said
 “You suck!” 

Enoki always sat under the same tree at the same time every single day, reading a story collection called Enoki tales which his parents left before the hunters arrived and picked them. 2 little mushrooms who came from the tree sits under found him during one of these days. Enoki was frozen from shock.

“I thought I was the last of this of the Ekey mushroom!” Enocki cried 

“We thought we were the last of the Ekey’s!” The twins replied in harmony.
"Well we need to stick together to stay alive."
"Ok" the twins answered.
"Can we hear you story, it looks absolutely fantastic and fun to hear and read?" 
"Of course you can!" Enoki yelled cheerily.

 So the 3 of them always read a story everyday until something happened. Something horrible. Hunters came and to tried to pick Enoki. They where successful. Enoki was gone. After 6 months the twins had grown up and 2 new Enokis where born.
They hoped it was not to late and they ran towards the hunters camp searching Ekey. They found his buddy. It was hollow, empty. Nothing but a shell. They took home as a reminder of the good times they had together.

I rate the midnight gang a 5/5 stars as it is one of my favourite books of all time and has got loads of great, realistic characters (by this I mean the actual personality’s not what the characters do) and is a very intriguing story.

My favourite thing in the book.

My favourite thing that happened in the book is when the old lady from the hospital with dementia had so many balloons that she floated into the sky as I just found this absolutely hilarious and it is by far my favourite thing that happened in the book and really in any book.

My favourite character in the book was George as I just found him funny and thought he had an interesting back-round seen both his parents were in jail.

My overall thoughts on the book

My overall thoughts on Midnight Gang are that it is my favourite book of all time and I would love to re-read it. Another thought would be that all the characters in the book can have something in there personality’s that makes you like them more (even the not particularly nice ones).

The story is set in World War 2.  A bomb hits London Zoo where Gertrude the gorilla is kept. Gertrude iis frightened by this Nazi bomber and she escapes her cage.

Gertrude was going to be put to sleep because she escaped by smashing her cage up.

Eric knows Gertrude as he used to go to the zoo to see her.  Eric and his uncle Sid work together to save the gorilla. I like this book because it’s very silly, however it has a lot of plot twists and unexpected events. Also because Sid’s house is packed with exotic animals, however, the things I dislike about this book are the bits like the part where everyone nearly dies because of the germans. I like David Walliams books because they’re all so silly and have a lot of story behind them. 

 This book is about a talent show going on at a place called WCD Middle School. It is a private school full of ccp (Cute cool & popular) girls. In the book some people enter a talent show and compete to win one of the rewards. The main character Nikki is competing in the talent show to win a full scholarship so she won't have to leave and Mackenzie is competing to win and tryout for the tv show 15 minutes of fame. The book’s characters are: Nikki Maxwell, Mackenzie, Holister, Brandon Roberts, Chloe, Zoey, Violet, Theodore and Marcus.

I chose to review this book because it’s full of adventure, wonder and fun that kept me entertained for a while. I also recommend you read the books: Dork Diaries1 & 2 before you read this one. There is nothing I didn't like about this book and it is mainly for girls aged 8 – 10. My favourite thing about it is that it is based on real life but it is still fiction.
