It's already been widely discussed and statistically corroborated that a Universal Healthcare System would save the U.S "$450 billion annually." This amount of savings is huge, and in a system where patients already pay so much out of pocket, why not have them save more and the government spend less?

In the United States, there is a large focus on Acute care, meaning we begin to treat issues(medical conditions) once they are at a progressed state, and it is more costly and harder for a patient to recover from. If there were more of a focus on the overall health of patients and targeting risk factors rather than just the condition, we could see a reduction in healthcare costs.

If the United States had the extra money from universal healthcare, it could pour those extra funds into health initiatives that focus on bettering one's physical health and educating citizens on the best ways to do so.

Ultimately, in our current system, there is a lot of overhead and with that an added complexity when it comes to funding. If we went the Universal healthcare route, then much of that overhead would be cut out, and all costs would be centralized/easier to manage. With those savings, we could hopefully focus on preventative care and America being a healthier country overall.

Your banner highlights some of the biggest factors that drive up healthcare costs in the U.S., and I like how you balanced both system-level changes and personal lifestyle choices. Universal healthcare and reducing administrative costs are crucial because they target inefficiencies in the system that waste billions of dollars each year. At the same time, your points about prevention through exercise and healthy eating show how individual habits can also play a big role in reducing future expenses. I also agree with your focus on prescription drug pricing, since so many patients struggle to afford the medications they need. Overall, your board does a great job connecting policy reform with personal responsibility to create a healthier and more affordable system.
