I really enjoyed sewing in class, I haven’t done it in a while so being able to do it in class is nice. I feel closer to my culture by doing so. We as a class had some good laughs while sewing, played some music helped each other when needed.

It feels great, they have something to play with and learn the name in both English and Inuinaqtun. They can also learn the sound of the animal, and learn how it moves.

It helps children understand and engage with the world around them by providing comfort, encouraging emotional development and building cognitive skills and it also connects play to reality like when a child plays with a toy kitchen, they are imitating and internalizing real-life activities like cooking and sharing meals it helps them organize their knowledge of the world in a way

I sure enjoyed sewing the wolf as I haven’t sew in a long time, it sure made the time go by fast, make me want to get back into sewing again.

Sewing something for the children to play with, makes my heart warm & want to sew more toys. Also teach them to sew small items to take home.
