This can be compared to the teachings of Paul Michel Foucalt a french philosopher who believed that ideas were not inherently right or wrong but power groups are responsible for promoting ideas as being “right” or “wrong”. Powerful people have the ability to influence the perspectives of people in society which can influence their conduct. This conduct is perceived by others and can become normalized and embedded in cultural norms which reproduces the new discourse of power and knowledge.
