Whenever I feel down, I know that praying is the best thing to do. Praying is one of my enablers which makes me calm in difficult situations. I know that Almighty God is in control of all things, and all I need is to trust Him. He is the All-Knowing, so I need not lose hope just because of the challenges I am experiencing along the way. The challenges are meant to make me stronger, to make me prepared. And only God can give me a healthy mind and sound body for me to accomplish those tasks. 

      My family is also one of my enablers in continuing my passion. I think I could not totally live and pursue my dreams without them. They are my number one supporter in my teaching career, and I am very thankful for having them. Family is indeed my source of inspiration whenever I feel exhausted and sometimes demotivated. Because of them, I learn how to refocus, set goals, and start again. 

       Moreover, being recognized for my efforts is another thing that enables me to be more motivated in this noblest profession. A simple “thank you” from my students is enough recognition of the everyday efforts that I am making just to make the class discussion interesting. A simple compliment from a co-teacher can also be a source of motivation, just like a compliment from a principal or director. Indeed, recognition can be achieved even in simple ways, and it is not just limited to the certificates and awards that we are receiving. 

 

This candle served as their light in whatever they do. If their minds are in doubt, they can come to me and tell their stories. I listen and give them pieces of advice.
