<title>B BLOCK NICEA PADLET by Michael Solis</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/mikesolis23/rnpvxvsw5djx</link>
      <description>Council of Nicea.
One student from each group will be the actual Secretary regarding the weblink of THE COUNCIL OF NICEA. Here it is: https://www.christianhistoryinstitute.org/study/module/nicea/
DISCUSS AND POST YOUR ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS:
REVIEW &amp; DISCUSSION
1. How important do you think it is that all churches should share the same doctrine and the same date for Christian festivals?
2. What do you think it must have been like to be present at this first meeting of all the church leaders? Some bishops there still bore injuries that they suffered from imperial persecution. How do you think they felt at this state-sponsored council?
3. What role did Constantine play at the council? Was his presence there a good influence?
4. How would you summarize the doctrine enshrined in the creed they produced? How does it rebut the teaching of Arius? Why is so much more space given to Christ than to God the Father or the Holy Spirit?
5. Why could some of those present not accept the creed? Does their argument hold water? Was the council right to condemn them as heretics?
Why was the creed proposed by Eusebius not adopted by the council? What were his reservations about accepting the official creed? Why did he assent in the end?
6. Does the Nicene Creed simply spell out the teaching of the Bible, or does it go further? Do you think it successfully draws the line between true and false Christianity?</description>
