 I wonder about the impact I have made

I see the mountains of possibilities
 I want to be a teacher

 I pretend to be organized
 I feel ready to tackle the day 
I touch the lives of children
 I worry that I bit of too much to chew

Through this organization I have been able to work closely with staff and faculty of the university and meet some amazing friends. Both of my parents are ASU Alumni and they volunteered as Ski Patrollers when they attended ASU. My dad used to carry me while he skied and then he taught me for the first time when I was two. I continued to ski throughout my childhood and my dad continued to volunteer at Beech Mountain. As soon as I was old enough I joined National Ski Patrol. The people on Patrol are my 'mountain family,' they have seen me grow both on and off the snow. This photo was taken on the Oz Run on Beech Mountain. Some of my favorite childhood memories (off the snow) were on a week long bike ride called Cycle North Carolina. While I don't ride much any more it is still something I enjoy, especially with my dad. He was very strict growing up but he is turning into a softie in his older age. He has Early Onset Parkinson's Disease which is a degenerative brain disease.
