Helping others gratifies me, when I have the opportunity to help someone else I feel better and that has no price. 

It warms my heart to know that I have contributed to the healing of a person. 

I decided to become a pediatric nurse when I realized that taking care of children was my way; making them laugh, smile and calm down while I am doing my job is the best feeling ever. 

Honestly, no one influenced my choice to become a nurse. My parents support me, but they never obligated me to do something, leaving me free to decide on my own.

Doctor 1: "The patient Giovanni Rossi in bed 3 has normal vital signs and the therapy he is being receiving is taking effect." 

Doctor 2: "Let's see the ECG of this morning!" 

Doctor 1: "The electrocardiographic trace shows no arrhythmias or anomalies of the atrium and no coronary pain." 

Doctor 2: "Good. We can think of a discharge of him." 

Doctor 1: "Perfect. Let's monitor him for another two days and if all the exams he does are in the parameters, we can discharge him."

Most of the actions take place in the Seattle Grace Hospital, where Meredith and her peers face the daily consequences of life or death finding solace in each other in the most dramatic situations. 

In addition, they will establish personal bonds with their patients, becoming attached to them, with of course so many emotional consequences.

She always smiles, loves talking a lot and what she cares about most are her patients and her family members.

No matter how much hard the case of the patient is, the first thing she does is to create a solid, calma e and lovable patient-nurse relationship.

Since I started doing the internship I have learned so many things thanks to her, she patiently explains me everything and gives me answers to all my questions and curiosities.

What I admire most about her is her strength in dealing with any kind of situation that may arrive in the ward.

She loves her job very much and passed the passion of being a nurse to me too

Transmitting love and passion for this job to future young people will be important in ordine to make them understand how much important is this work, despite the many difficulties it can have, this work can give them not few, but  lots of emotions.

The smile of a child ,the gratitude of a patient or the the pride of taking care of someone bring you immense joy and great satisfaction because it means that the "work" you have done for them has arrived!.

Being a nurse means not only "treating the patient's disease" but understanding the patient at 360 degrees, having to assist the patient in his long treatment process having a look on both the psychological level and the physical one. Listening to him, understand the problems he may have about his social sphere and never forget that in front of you there is a patient, or rather, a person who must be understood: that means to me being a good nurse!

The skills that a nurse should have are patience, willpower, perseverance, determination and the ability to always wonder and to understand or own mistakes and improve.

I think I am on the right way for being a future good nurse because I am working very hard to become the picture of the nurse that I’ve just described. I also want to improve day by day and never stop learning, so I have to keep working on it and never give up.

They explain us how important and effective pet therapy is, it has lots of benefits on the patient who is in the hospital.

An advanced practice nurse whose name is Lea Ann remembers the time a pet visited its owner, a woman with long-standing cancer: the patient hardly ever woke up or spoke, but after visiting her dog, she sat down and she seemed happier. The scene was really emotional and showed the deep connection which had been created between the owner and the pet.

So, creating emotional bond with pets can make the difference.

Therefore the article explains how essential pet therapy is for the patient's healing process reporting  studies that have shown how animals reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure and help patients heal faster.

Pet therapy is a scheduled plan of action that can take a lot of time and effort to make sure it will be successful, but in the end the patient, the nurse and even the pet will be reward.

If i had to choose, i would like to work in neonatal surgery department, because i like to take care of newborns.

One of my dreams is  to become a nurse who works abroad, especially i would like to work in an American Pediatric Hospital in Philadelphia.

Another project that I have is to take master’s degree in nursing and midwifery.

I hope i will realize all of my dreams and be the best nurse that i can.

She was an inspiration for me, she made me love this profession and she tought many skills about nursing.

The way she explained me things, made me learn quickly.

She has transmitted me the importants of being empathic with the patients because in this way they can improve their health easily.

I found myself well with her since the first minute that we met. She is really similar to me, we have the same character, she is sweet, friendly and always avalaible. 

During the trainership she taught me that it is normal to make mistakes and that it is precisely from the mistakes that you learn more and grow, improving  skills and knowledges.

One day, I hope to became like her: a good nurse and a patience teacher.  I also would like to become a tutor to be able to transmit my passion for this profession to the future nurse students.
